Update County Agricultural Security Area Database

Since 1990, over 80,000 acres in Westmoreland County have been enrolled in 19 township Agricultural Security Areas.  The recording and monitoring of these areas is managed by the local municipalities, with a 7-Year review to assure the information on properties enrolled is current and that the recorded records within the Westmoreland County Recorder of Deeds is correct.  Our goal in 2026 is to see these records are accurate going forward.  We will work with the local municipalities and landowners to make necessary adjustments to the records.
